Out of the Mouths of Childrenis a book that gives the A-Z of HIV/AIDS, with frequently asked questions, progression of the disease, signs and symptoms, drug treatment, etc, etc.
We all need this up to date information, because if we are not informed today, we may not have a tomorrow.
The ongoing battle on the global pandemic HIV/AIDS is of immense proportions.
About 20 years ago, the general picture of PLWHA was that of an adult male, but today, it is that of an African Child. In fact by the end of 2004, there were over forty million people estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS, 66% of them from Sub-Sahara Africa and between 6.5-7.5 million in Nigeria alone. Due to its high incidence especially in Africa, we are in need of efforts to curb the dreaded disease.
Professor Moji Adeyeye and DAHP have done a commendable job putting this book together. Their efforts to help alleviate the burden of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria and diaspora are applauded.
This book is one which everyone will find readable and useful, going a long way to bridge the gap of ignorance.
